The same model both writes code and reviews code, and it is easy to let go of its own preferred errors: it thinks it is "no problem" to write this way, so it cannot detect it. Using an independent agent to review is the cheapest and most effective way to fix leaks.

This plug-in brings Codex into Claude Code's session as a reviewer: after Claude has modified the code, give it to Codex to read it from scratch, and then return the conclusion to the same terminal, and you can change it on the spot.

/codex:review is a regular read-only review: no code changes, only a list of issues; /codex:adversarial-review is an adversarial challenge review. You can specify the questioning angle and let it specifically refute this implementation.

/codex:rescue and /codex:transfer are responsible for handover: the former leaves a description to let Codex start working independently, and the latter transfers the entire current session; /codex:status, /codex:result, and /codex:cancel are used to view the progress of background tasks, obtain results, and cancel tasks respectively.

Just execute three commands in Claude Code: /plugin marketplace add openai/codex-plugin-cc to add the official plug-in market, /plugin install codex@openai-codex to install the plug-in, and /reload-plugins to reload the new command to take effect.

There are only two prerequisites: Node.js 18.18 and above; ChatGPT subscription (including free files) or OpenAI API Key - review and background tasks will be counted in your Codex usage, so don’t run the entire warehouse against review as soon as you get started.

The download button provides the complete source code package of the main branch of the plug-in (about 118 KB), which contains the plug-in list, command scripts and test cases. After decompression, you can load it locally according to the above command.

The plug-in itself does not contain the Codex executable file. Please use /codex:setup to self-check before running. It will tell you whether Codex is ready and whether you need to install or log in on your behalf.
