Written by Matt Pocock, author of Total TypeScript and former head of Vercel Education, the power of writing teaching materials is used in skills: each skill is short, adaptable, and combinable, making it clear when to use it, what steps to follow, and what to produce.

Unlike GSD, BMAD, Spec-Kit and other "take over the whole process" methodologies, this set of skills deliberately does not take away your control - they are small tools, not large processes, easy to locate problems, and easy to change to your own version.

It is recommended to update the official plugin automatically: Claude Code executes claude plugin install mattpocock-skills @ claude-plugins-official; Codex, Copilot, Gemini CLI all have corresponding commands (see Repository README).

Once installed, run/setup-matt-pocock-skills once per repository: it will ask you what ticketing system (GitHub, GitLab, local files) you use to adapt the skills to your workflow. Everyday say "implement this function with TDD" or "grill this scheme" to call.

This package is taken from the main branch source code of mattpocock/skills, licensed by mit. Skills are essentially instruction files for the agent. Before installation, it is recommended to read each SKILL.md to understand its behavior and enable it as needed.
