OPPO announced a partnership with AI agent platform Manus to bring next-generation agentic AI to its smartphones. The deal integrates Manus's agent capabilities into OPPO's AI Mind Pilot, turning complex multi-step tasks directly into finished results and advancing OPPO's vision of "personalized proactive intelligence" — AI that understands users and proactively helps them get things done. Tang Kai, president of OPPO Software Engineering, said agentic AI marks a shift from simply answering questions to completing tasks for users. Manus co-founder and chief product officer Zhang Tao added that smartphones, carrying so much of daily life, are the natural platform for personal AI agents, and that combining Manus's agent capabilities with OPPO's system-level integration makes advanced agents far easier to deliver. The capability debuts on the upcoming OPPO Find X10 series preloaded with ColorOS 17: AI Mind Pilot reads the user's final goal, breaks it into execution steps, retrieves relevant information, picks suitable tools and outputs complete results, and can work directly with files and photos stored on the device. For trip planning, it pulls scattered flight, hotel, restaurant and attraction bookings from different apps and combines them with online information into a personalized daily itinerary — no manual collecting or uploading. The same works for daily creation and office tasks: one instruction can have it find and organize travel photos, locate specific images, or merge local files with web sources into presentations, proposals and portfolios. OPPO says ColorOS 17 uses on-device models: local tasks like searching, organizing and renaming files and photos keep content on the device and are never shared with Manus, and any cloud processing happens only after explicit user permission. "Users stay in control of what can be accessed, what can be done, and whether external processing is allowed." AI Mind Pilot, powered by Manus, will debut on the ColorOS 17-based OPPO Find X10 series.
