REA turns reverse engineering into a set of MCP tools (about 169,000 stars, MIT licence): your agent analyses an app without source code — native binaries, JavaScript/Electron, .NET assemblies and websites — and every conclusion comes with its evidence and limitations. All analysis runs locally.

What Problems Does It Solve?它解决什么问题
Reverse engineering used to be a specialist craft: install a pile of tools, guess at disassembly, and end up unsure how much to trust the result. REA connects those tools to your agent through MCP, so you describe the goal in plain language and it picks the tools, runs the analysis and lays out the evidence.
Crucially, it writes "evidence" and "limitations" into every conclusion. Reverse-engineering findings are often inferences, and REA separates what was observed from what was inferred, so a confidently wrong answer cannot mislead you.
逆向工程过去是少数人的手艺：装一堆工具、对着反汇编猜、结论还说不清靠不靠谱。REA 的做法是把这些工具通过 MCP 接给智能体，你只要用自然语言描述目标，它就替你选工具、跑分析、把证据摆出来。
它明确把「证据」和「局限」写进结论里，这一点很关键——逆向的结论常常是推测，REA 会区分「观察到什么」和「推断出什么」，避免你被一句自信的错误答案带偏。
What it can analyse能分析哪些目标
Native binaries (PE/ELF and more): it can reuse a Hopper, Ghidra or IDA installation you already have as the analysis engine, and setup can install Hopper for you with your approval.
JavaScript / Electron apps: static analysis needs no native engine — just point it at the unpacked directory or the ASAR file.
.NET assemblies and websites are supported too. All analysis runs locally and your code is not sent anywhere.
原生二进制（PE/ELF 等）：可复用本机已有的 Hopper、Ghidra 或 IDA 作为分析引擎，setup 时也能在征得你同意后替你安装 Hopper。
JavaScript / Electron 应用：静态分析不需要原生引擎，直接指向解包后的目录或 ASAR 文件即可。
.NET 程序集与网站同样在支持范围内。所有分析都在本地跑，代码不外传。
How to install and use怎么安装使用
With Node.js and npm installed, one command: npx rea-agents setup. It asks which agents to configure, shows the proposed configuration changes (backing up the existing config first), then registers the MCP server and matching workflow instructions. Restart your agent afterwards.
It currently supports Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Gemini CLI, Grok Build and more. You can also stay in the terminal: npx -y rea-agents@latest analyze-javascript-application /path/to/app --json. For regular use, npm install --global rea-agents and run rea --help.
A typical prompt: "Understand how search works in the Notes app, show me the evidence, and build a similar feature for my project."
装好 Node.js 与 npm 后一条命令：npx rea-agents setup。它会让你选择智能体、展示将要改动的配置（并先备份原配置），确认后写入 MCP 服务与配套的工作流说明，重启智能体即可。
目前已适配 Claude Code、Codex、Cursor、Gemini CLI、Grok Build 等。也可以只在终端用：npx -y rea-agents@latest analyze-javascript-application /路径/to/app --json；长期用则 npm install --global rea-agents，之后直接 rea --help。
