FAQ
How do SRT and VTT differ?
VTT uses a dot for milliseconds plus a WEBVTT header, and numbering is optional. Timing and text are preserved as-is.
What happens to VTT NOTE / style blocks?
NOTE comments and STYLE/REGION blocks have no SRT equivalent and are omitted, with a note in the result; inline tags are kept as plain text where possible.
Will Chinese subtitles break?
No. Files are parsed as UTF-8 (BOM tolerated). For legacy GBK encodings, convert to UTF-8 first.
Do timings change?
No. Conversion changes format only — never timing.
